Okanagan Hockey Group โ CSSHL Story Submissions
As a proud member of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL), Okanagan Hockey Group is committed to sharing the inspiring stories of our student-athletes, staff, and alumni. Each season, the CSSHL requires us to submit two (2) non-hockey-related stories that highlight the incredible achievements and experiences within our community.
What Kind of Stories?
We are looking for stories that go beyond the game of hockey and showcase the character, resilience, and impact of our student-athletes and staff. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Community Service: Volunteer efforts, charitable initiatives, and local engagement.
- Fundraising: Unique and impactful fundraisers led by student-athletes or staff.
- Overcoming Adversity: Personal challenges, perseverance, and triumphs.
- Health Challenges & Resilience: Stories of battling illnesses, injuries, or personal hardships.
- Academic & Professional Achievements: Alumni success stories, prestigious awards, or notable career milestones (e.g., becoming a doctor, receiving a scholarship, earning a title or award).
How to Submit a Story
We encourage all student-athletes, families, and staff to submit any story they feel might be impactful. Even if it is not selected for this specific initiative, the CSSHL may use it for other projects or features.
When submitting a story, please include:
- Background information about the individual(s) involved.
- A summary of the story and why it is significant.
- Contact details for those who can provide additional information or interviews.
