2025 OHA Male ID Camp: A Successful Weekend for Aspiring Hockey Players
The 2025 OHA Male ID Camp, held from April 11-13, 2025, in Penticton, BC, was an exciting and action-packed event for young male hockey players eager to take their game to the next level. The camp provided a unique opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills and be evaluated for placement in Okanagan Hockey Academy’s (OHA) U15, U15 Prep, U17, U17 Prep, and U18 Prep programs for the 2025-2026 hockey season.
Event Highlights:
- 4-Game Showcase Weekend: Participants competed in four high-level games, demonstrating their skills in game situations. Coaches and management evaluated players throughout these games to determine potential placements in OHA’s development programs.
- Dedicated Goalie Session: Goalies received specialized instruction during a dedicated on-ice session, where they honed their skills with targeted coaching from experienced professionals.
- OHA Information Session: Participants discovered the OHA experience, including academic programs and hockey development pathways that help players reach their full potential both on the ice and in the classroom.
- Penticton Secondary School Tour: Players and parents toured Penticton Secondary, a top-rated school known for its academic excellence and its partnership with OHA, learning more about the academic opportunities available for student-athletes.
