2026 CSSHL Western Championships Coming to Penticton
The 2026 CSSHL Western Championships are fast approaching, and weโre proud to once again welcome the leagueโs top teams to Penticton, British Columbia.
Taking place March 7โ22, 2026, this premier championship event will crown champions in the following divisions:
- U15
- U15 Prep
- U17
- U17 Prep
- U18 Prep
- Female U18 Prep
Each division will be split into Division I and Division II prior to Championships based on the official CSSHL MYHockey Rankings, with a champion crowned in each tier.
This marks the 11th time the City of Penticton has hosted the Western Championships โ a testament to our communityโs commitment to high-performance hockey and elite event hosting.

A Premier Stage for Student-Athletes
The Championships provide invaluable experience for CSSHL member programs and their student-athletes (ages 13โ18), bringing together elite competition from across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
This yearโs event will feature 106 teams from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Idaho, and Washington. A total of 195 games will be played, with 186 hosted across three premier venues:
- South Okanagan Events Centre
- Okanagan Hockey Group Training Centre
- Memorial Arena

- Day Pass: $27.50
- Full Tournament Pass: $75
- Youth (18 & under): FREE admission

Important Venue Information
The SOEC Clear Bag Policy will be in effect throughout the Championships across all ice sheets within the SOEC Complex, including the South Okanagan Events Centre, Okanagan Hockey Group Training Centre, and Memorial Arena.
We encourage all spectators to plan ahead and review the policy prior to attending games.
