Get ready for an exciting and action-packed weekend at the 2026 OHA Male ID Camp โ where aspiring hockey players come to compete, develop, and be seen. This elite event offers a unique opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills and be evaluated for placement in Okanagan Hockey Academyโs (OHA) U15, U15 Prep, U17, U17 Prep, and U18 Prep programs for the 2026โ2027 season.
The U15 ID Camp, open to players born in 2012 and 2013, is the perfect environment for young athletes ready to take their first step into academy hockey. Players will compete and learn what it takes to play at the next level while gaining valuable exposure to OHAโs professional coaching staff.
The U18 ID Camp, for players born between 2009 and 2011, delivers a fast-paced and challenging on-ice setting for athletes eager to elevate their game. Participants will have the chance to demonstrate their skills and compete for placement within OHAโs elite prep programs.
Event Highlights
- 4-Game Showcase Weekend: Participants compete in four high-level games, demonstrating their skills in game situations. Coaches and management evaluate players throughout these games to determine potential placements in OHAโs development programs.
- Goalie-Specific Training: Goaltenders receive tailored instruction from OHAโs Head Goalie Instructor, Lucas Gore, a coach with extensive WHL experience. This specialized session focuses on goalie-specific drills and techniques designed to sharpen skills between the pipes.
- OHA Information Session: Players and parents will hear directly from OHA staff about the opportunities available at the Okanagan Hockey Academy. The session highlights OHAโs renowned development pathways and the balance of academics and athletics that sets the academy apart in fostering student-athlete success.
- School Tour with OHA Academic Advisor:ย Participants will have the option to tour Penticton Secondary; a top-rated school partnered with OHA and learn about the academic opportunities available to student-athletes. The tour provides a deeper understanding of how OHA supports players in balancing education and athletics.

Goalies
Please note, all goaltenders will be waitlisted and will be reviewed by our coaching staff. If accepted, to the camp, we will advise via email. All goalies will be contacted by the first week of March.
Teams
Players will be assigned to a team for Friday and Saturday. All players will be reassigned to a new team on Sunday. Team placement for Sunday will be communicated on Saturday, April 11th.
Schedule
The schedule will be released closer to the event. For planning purposes, please look to be in Penticton for Friday morning.
For those in the U15 ID camp, the event will wrap up on Sunday morning by 11:00 AM.*
For those in the U18 ID Camp, the event will wrap up on Sunday afternoon by 5:30 PM.*
