Congratulations to OHA Penticton’s U17 team on capturing the 2026 CSSHL Western Championship—back-to-back titles for an outstanding group!
Okanagan Hockey Academy (Penticton, BC) secured the championship with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Delta Hockey Academy. Delta opened the scoring early, capitalizing on a turnover just 1:48 into the game. OHA responded in the second period with a strong performance on the power play, as Tyler Donaldson found the back of the net off a rebound. Delta regained the lead later in the frame, but Chris Pellatt answered on the power play to tie the game heading into the third.
In the final period, Donaldson struck again on the power play, scoring the game-winner with just over seven minutes remaining. Strong goaltending and a determined defensive effort allowed OHA to withstand a late push from Delta and secure the victory.
This championship marks an incredible achievement and a testament to the team’s skill, resilience, and commitment throughout the season. Well done, OHA Penticton U17s!
