Sean Beissel brings over 30 years of coaching and management experience to Okanagan Hockey Academy Penticton, where he now serves as Manager of Operations. Recently relocated from OHA Edmonton, Sean is now based in Kelowna, BC, and continues to bring his deep passion for player development and operational excellence to the OHA team.
Sean’s extensive background includes 8 years as the Academic & Athletic Development Director of Operations at Donnan School in Edmonton, two seasons as Head Coach of the Fort Saskatchewan Midget AAA team, and seven seasons as Director of Hockey Development and Midget AAA Head Coach with the Sherwood Park Kings Athletic Club. He also spent four seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) in various capacities.
Since 2016, Sean has been an integral part of the Okanagan Hockey Academy system. At OHA Edmonton, he served as U15 Prep Head Coach for six seasons before moving into the Assistant General Manager role. He has also led the OHA/Oilers Hockey School as Director of Operations since 2016 and has operated his own hockey skill development program.
