At Okanagan Hockey Academy, creating an exceptional student-athlete experience extends far beyond the rink. As we continue to enhance the support systems available to our students, we are pleased to announce that Jason Wild will be taking on an expanded role as Coordinator of Residential Life, while continuing in his current position with Camps and Combines.
Jason has been a valued member of the Okanagan Hockey Group family for many years and is well known throughout our organization for his leadership, professionalism, and genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
A Familiar Face with a Passion for Mentorship
In his current role, Jason oversees the day-to-day operations of Okanagan Hockey Group’s camps, where he has worked closely with hundreds of young athletes and staff members. For many of these individuals, working at our camps represents their very first job experience. Jason has played an important role in mentoring these young employees, helping them build confidence, responsibility, leadership skills, and a strong work ethic that extends well beyond hockey.
Throughout his career with Okanagan Hockey Group, Jason has also been instrumental in leading our Hockey Canada Skills Academy, Spring Hockey Program, and Combines division. His extensive experience coordinating programs, managing logistics, and leading staff has made him an invaluable member of our team.
Supporting Student-Athletes Beyond the Game
As Coordinator of Residential Life, Jason will work closely with the OHA management team to support the daily experience of student-athletes who have chosen to leave home to pursue their hockey and academic goals.
His responsibilities will include working alongside our staff, billet families, and the broader OHA community to ensure every student-athlete enjoys a positive, safe, and supportive living environment. From helping students navigate everyday challenges to fostering meaningful relationships within our residential community, Jason’s focus will be on ensuring every athlete feels welcomed, supported, and set up for success.
At OHA, we believe that a strong residential experience is a critical part of developing confident, responsible young adults. Jason’s ability to build relationships, mentor young people, and create positive experiences makes him an outstanding fit for this important role.
