Jason Wild brings more than two decades of hockey, coaching, and athlete development experience to OHA Penticton. A former player with the Penticton Panthers (BCHL), Jason continued his playing career at Red Deer College while studying Kinesiology and Sport Management, building a strong foundation in athlete performance and leadership.
His coaching career has taken him from Canada to Europe, with roles including the Bracknell Bees in the British Elite League, the Cowichan Valley Capitals (BCHL), and the Summerland Sting (KIJHL). Throughout his career, Jason has been passionate about helping young athletes develop both on and off the ice.
Over the past decade with Okanagan Hockey Group, Jason has held a variety of leadership positions, including Head Coach of the Hockey Canada Skills Academy and is a key contributor to elite player identification events, working at WHL Combines, the CHL Top Prospects Game, the IIHF U18 World Championship, and Hockey Canada’s U17 Program. Jason is the Manager of Okanagan Hockey Camps, which operate every summer in Penticton, Kelowna, Calgary and Edmonton.
As Coordinator of Residential Life, Jason combines his extensive hockey background with firsthand experience in the billet program. Having lived in three different billet homes during his own playing careerโand later opening his family’s home to billet a student-athlete for two seasonsโhe understands the important role a supportive living environment plays in a young athlete’s success. His focus is on creating a positive, safe, and welcoming residential experience that allows student-athletes to thrive academically, socially, and athletically.
Jason and his wife, Rachelle, live in Penticton with their daughter Hayden, son Vaughn, and their Goldendoodle, Calli.
