SHELBY BUSS, CERTIFIED ATHLETIC THERAPIST

Shelby Buss brings a strong background in athletic therapy, kinesiology, and athlete care to Okanagan Hockey Academy, where she serves as an Athletic Therapist.

Shelby completed her bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia–Okanagan before earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Athletic Therapy from the University of Winnipeg in 2022.

While completing her studies in Winnipeg, Shelby gained valuable practical experience through placements with the University of Winnipeg Women’s Basketball team, contributing to the team’s journey to a second-place finish at USport Nationals. She also completed a practicum with Okanagan Hockey Academy Penticton, gaining firsthand experience working with student-athletes in a high-performance hockey environment.

Through her education and practical experience, Shelby has developed a strong understanding of athlete care, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and supporting athletes throughout their development. She is passionate about helping young athletes stay healthy, perform at their best, and pursue their goals both on and off the ice.
