Sam Wingham joined OHA as an Academic Advisor in 2025, bringing a strong background in education, counselling, and athlete development. He holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria and a Master of Clinical Counselling from Gonzaga University.
Sam has worked extensively in player development, leading academy soccer programs and creating his own development initiatives within the Okanagan community. As a student-athlete, he competed in both the USL Pro Development League and Pacific Coast Soccer League before captaining the University of Victoria men’s soccer team for four years. His accomplishments include a Canada West Championship, three Western Canadian All-Star selections, and a National All-Star award.
Sam is passionate about supporting student-athletes in achieving success both academically and personally while helping them develop the skills needed to thrive beyond sport.
