Reilly McKinnon – Assistant Coach, U18 Female Prep
Reilly McKinnon returns to Okanagan Hockey Academy as an Assistant Coach with the U18 Women’s Prep team, bringing firsthand experience as an OHA student-athlete, junior hockey player, and NCAA Division III athlete.
Reilly’s hockey journey began at OHA Penticton, where he spent four seasons developing as a defenceman before advancing to the AJHL with the Drayton Valley Thunder. He later joined the Humboldt Broncos of the SJHL, gaining valuable experience competing at a high level of junior hockey.
Following his junior career, Reilly continued his education and hockey career at SUNY Canton, playing NCAA Division III hockey from 2022 to 2026. During his four seasons with the Roos, he established himself as a consistent presence on the blue line, appearing in 102 consecutive games while continuing to develop as both a player and leader.
As a former OHA student-athlete, Reilly understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges that come with developing as a young player while balancing academics and athletics. He is excited to bring his experiences back to the Academy and is passionate about helping student-athletes build their skills, confidence, work ethic, and understanding of the game.
Reilly looks forward to beginning this next chapter in his hockey career and contributing to the development of the U18 Women’s Prep team both on and off the ice.
