MARK MACMILLAN, SKILLS COACH

Mark MacMillan brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to his role as Skills Coach at OHA Penticton. A co-owner of Skate With Power alongside NHL Skating Coach Lars Hepso, Mark has spent the past decade developing playersโ€™ skating and skill foundations, working with athletes across all levelsโ€”including NHL talents such as Mat Barzal and Shea Theodore.

An OHA alumnus himself, Mark went on to play in the BCHL before being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens. He furthered his career at the University of North Dakota, where he established himself as a strong two-way player, and later played six seasons of professional hockey in the AHL, ECHL, and Europe.

Since retiring from pro hockey, Mark has returned to his hometown of Penticton, where he continues to share his passion for player development. Alongside his role at OHA, he also serves as the Skating and Skills Coach for the WHLโ€™s Penticton Vees, helping athletes maximize their potential through a combination of technical instruction and game-focused development.
