Heather Perrin brings extensive experience in hockey, athletic therapy, and athlete development to Okanagan Hockey Academy, where she serves as General Manager.
Perrin began her career in sport after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge and an Advanced Certificate of Athletic Therapy at Mount Royal College. As a Certified Athletic Therapist, she gained experience across a variety of sports, including CIS rugby, junior and provincial lacrosse, judo, and hockey, before moving into hockey full-time in 2009.
Since then, Heather has worked as a team therapist across a range of leagues and programs, including the JWHL, KIJHL, CSSHL, Team Alberta, and Hockey Canada. She joined Hockey Canada in 2010 and went on to work at every level with the Canadian National Women’s Hockey Team. Most notably, serving as Team Therapist with the 2018 Olympic Team that captured a silver medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Heather joined Okanagan Hockey Academy in 2014 as Manager of Athletic Therapy and Medical Services before moving into operations management in 2022. Her extensive experience working directly with athletes, combined with her background in sports medicine and high-performance hockey, provides her with a unique understanding of the needs of student-athletes and the environment required to support their development both on and off the ice.
As General Manager, Heather is committed to creating a strong and supportive environment for student-athletes, coaches, and staff while helping guide the continued growth and success of the Okanagan Hockey Academy program.
