With over 20 years of coaching experience, Hugh Mitchell has been a dedicated and influential figure in youth hockey. His coaching career highlights his commitment to developing young players, coaching every level from U9 to U18.
A former player himself, Hugh Mitchell began his minor hockey career in Kitimat, BC, where he also played Junior B with the Kitimat Blackhawks before advancing to four years of Junior A hockey. He captained his Junior team to a PCJHL Championship, showcasing his leadership on the ice.
As a coach, Hugh has led teams to significant achievements, including Assistant Coach for the U18 Female BC Provincial Champions and Head Coach for both U15 Female BC South Zone and U18 Male BC South Zone teams. He has coached every level, and he was also the Head Coach of the U18 Killarney Minor Hockey team, leading them to a Lower Mainland Championship.
