Born and raised in Sparwood, BC, Brar played Junior Hockey with the Elk Valley Raiders and the Fernie Ghostriders. His dedication and skill paved the way for a successful career spanning 7 years of Pro Hockey across the ECHL, CHL, WCHL, and IHL. Dampy transitioned seamlessly into coaching, spending five years with the AMP Academy in Calgary. His commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in hockey led him to co-found the ground-breaking APNA Hockey Program which serves as a sports network that uplifts and supports diverse communities in their hockey journey, from grassroots to elite levels. Brar was honored with the NHLโs Willie OโRee Community Hero Award in 2020.
